How to File RERA Complaint — Step by Step

  1. Gather documents: Allotment letter, sale agreement, payment receipts, all builder communication
  2. Send legal notice: Send a 30-day notice to the builder demanding resolution (not mandatory but strengthens your case)
  3. Visit the state RERA portal:

  4. Register and login as a complainant
  5. Fill Form M (complaint form) with project details, builder details, and nature of grievance
  6. Pay filing fee: ₹1,000–5,000 depending on state

  8. Submit and get acknowledgement number

What Relief Can RERA Grant?
